TGC 127 Notification and Expected Cut Off

Indian Army is soon going to release TGC 127 Notification for engineering graduates who are keen to join Indian army as a commissioned Officer. The online registration of Technical Graduate Course 127 for engineering students will begin from 24th October 2017. All the interested candidates need to submit the online applications last by 22 November 2017.  The selected candidates will undergo training at IMA (Indian Military Academy) in June 2018 Course.

As per the official notification released by the Indian Army, the TGC 127 Notification will the online registration process on the career website of Indian Army i.e. joinindianarmy.nic.in. Candidates will be given a detailed recruitment notification soon after the prescribed date. All the interested candidates need to register between the given dates after which the interested candidates will not be allowed to register for Indian Army TGC 127 vacancies.

What is Technical Graduate Course (TGC) Entry


TGC aka Technical Graduate Course is a direct entry scheme for all the eligible engineering students who want to join Indian Army as commissioned officers. This direct entry scheme is released twice a year. All the candidates are shortlisted for SSB Interview based on the cutoff finalized by the selection board of Indian Army.

Total Vacancies in TGC 127


As per the information available over the Internet, nearly 60 vacancies will be notified by the Indian army. All the required vacancies will be filtered under different Engineering streams.

However, the vacancies may vary depending upon the requirement of officers in Indian Army.

Eligibility for TGC 127


Talking about the eligibility for TGC, there are different eligibility criteria to apply for the 127th course of Technical Graduate Course.

Age: The interested candidate needs to have age within 20 to 27 years. The date is calculated as of the first date of course commencement at IMA, Dehradun. There is no age relaxation for SC/ST candidates which makes the selection unbiased.

Education: The candidate needs to be an engineer who holds or are appearing in the final year of notified streams of Engineering. The streams as mentioned in the official notification of TGC 127 will be considered eligible for the TGC 127 SSB interview. All other streams will not be entertained at the SSB centre. Year to year, different streams are notified by the Indian Army with the different number of vacancies against each stream.

The TGC 127 Cutoff will vary according to the number of vacancies against streams and the total number of vacancies. This is the collective TGC Cutoff percentage but the cutoff percentage for individual stream varies depending on the number of registrations and number of vacancies.

How to Apply for TGC 127


All the interested candidates are required to apply for TGC 127 course within the given time limit. To submit the TGC application, the interested candidates are required to follow the below-given process:

  • Open joinindianarmy.nic.in and click on “Officer Entry”
  • Now click on “Candidates Login” under the Officer Entry.
  • You will be asked to submit the Login details. Submit your details and write the Captcha. Now click on Submit button.
  • You will get your customized dashboard where you need to click on current vacancies.
  • Under the “current vacancies” you need to click on “Apply Now” against TGC 127.
  • Submit all the required details. You need to submit your personal, educational details during the Form filling process.

Important Dates:


  • Start of Online Registration: 24 October 2017
  • Last date of Online Registration: 22 November 2017
  • Expected SSB Interview Dates: February-March 2017
  • Training Starts: June 2018 at IMA Dehradun

NOTE: Only those candidates who have been shortlisted by the Indian Army will be called for SSB Interview followed by Medicals (when recommended).
