Army Officer Martyred In IED Blast along LOC, Rajouri

Major Chitresh Singh Bisht of Indian Army lost his life while diffusing a bomb which was planted by the enemy Forces within the Indian Territory. The incident took place on 16th of February when he was attempting to diffuse the IED blast along the LoC in Nowshera district of Jammu and Kashmir.

The Army Major belongs to the Corps of Engineers. According to the sources, the IED bomb was planted about 1.5 Km inside the line of control. As soon as the information was received, the Indian Army Major was tasked to diffuse the bomb. However, it exploded while attempting to defuse the bomb. The Army Major was martyred while one soldier is injured in the IED Blast.

The injured soldier is currently admitted to the hospital where he undergoing treatment. The IED blast incident took place at around 3 pm.

IED Blast on 11th January [Same Incident at Same Place]:

According to the sources, it is revealed that Afgan war veteran Abdul Rashid Ghazi has infiltrated in the valley in December, last year, could be the mastermind of the Blast. He is an IED Expert terrorist.

The sources also found that the same IED blast took place on 11th of January, this year when two Army Personnel including Indian Army Major were also martyred. (Source: NDTV18)

Pulwama Terrorist Attack 2019:

This is the second IED blast after the Pulwama Terror Attach where we lost our 42 CRPF Jawans. The Pulwama Attack is one of the most heartbreaking incidents after 2016 Uri Attack. On 14th of February 2019, the convoy of 2500 CRPF personnel was on the way from Srinagar to Jammu when an SUV loaded with IED hit the CRPF bus resulting in a massive blast. This caused heavy damage to the CRPF personnel where we lost 42 Jawans with numerous injuries.

PM Narendra Modi Warning to Terrorists:

Soon after the incident of Pulwama Attack, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the Security Forces have free hands, hence they can take their decisions. In his Public gathering, he also said that the Terrorists have made a big mistake and they have to pay a ‘heavy’ amount for that.
