Pakistan violated the ceasefire in the late hours of 11th June that ends during the early hours of 12th June 2018. But in this ceasefire violation, India lost 4 brave soldiers including one officer. The martyred are Border Security Force (BSF) Assistant Commandant Jitendra Singh, Assistant Sub Inspector Ramniwas, Sub Inspector Rajesh Kumar and Constable Hand Raj. Among them, three martyrs are from Rajasthan.
According to the sources, the Pakistan Rangers star open fire along the International Border in Samba District. The major reason for losing the brave son of India is that Pakistani Rangers used mortars and machine guns during the ceasefire violation. The entire casualty happen when another team was approaching with defence materials to strengthen the existing team.
Assistant Commandant Jitendra Singh was leading the second team who rushed to evacuate the existing team. But soon a mortar exploded close to his team in Border Our Post (BoP) Chambiliyal, that results in heavy loss to the country.
Jitendra Singh Was on Leave 1 Day Before the Incident:
Just one day before Pakistan violated the ceasefire, where Assistant Commandant Jitendra Kumar Chaudhary was martyred; he was enjoying his leave with his family. He was with his parents, wife and his 3-years old child. On 11th he sees off his parents back to their hometown to Jaipur. Jitendra’s wife and his son were also going to travel back to Jaipur on 12th June. But they received the news of Jitendra Chaudhary got injured as he was hit by a bullet in his shoulder. But soon Assistant Commandant was declared martyred in the ceasefire violation.
About Jitendra Singh Family:
Jitendra was born in 1984 and hails from Bharatpur district. He joined Border Security Force (BSF) in 2011. Currently, his family was living in Rajat Path area in Mansarovar, Jaipur. Jitendra Singh Chaudhary got married in 2014 and had a baby boy in 2015. Jitendra is survived by his wife and his son.
Jitendra Chaudhary Recently Completed his Doctorate:
According to the faculty of the University of Rajasthan, Assistant Commandant Jitendra Singh recently completed his Doctorate in Public Administration. He chooses the topic “Role of BSF in Internal Security” for his doctorate. The entire faculty of RU recalls him as a joyful person who was always available to help others. According to Dr. Ashok Singh, the head of the department, Department of Public Administration, University of Rajasthan, the selection of the topic “Role of BSF in Nation’s Security” was Jitendra’s idea which he finished well.
This is not the first time we have witnessed the ceasefire violation from Pakistan. There have been many incidents in the past too.
