Interesting Facts about Lieutenant Garima Yadav

One such example is Lieutenant Garima Yadav, who shows a perfect example of patriotism, whose career started from a beauty pageant and ended at the Indian Army. The journey was a roller coaster that she enjoyed to the fullest. 

Because of her not so considerate score in IAS exams, she couldn’t get selection in IAS mains. But her constancy for doing something for her country motivated her to clear the CDS exam and join the Indian Army. And with an All India Rank 2 in CDS, she joined the OTA Chennai.

Meanwhile, Lieutenant Garima was also into other activities. And one of them was her participation in a beauty pageant called India’s Miss Charming face in November 2017. Further, she also worked as an MC for events and events as a part-time job while she was preparing for the exam. She was also selected for her next pageant, which was to be held in Italy on an international level, but she chose her job before anything else.

Lt. Garima said- “OTA was difficult for me at first. But later on, the tough training helped me cope with future difficulties. I had a meager physical strength that took me time to match the unfavorable weather conditions. But I never gave up on my dreams. And I want to say to every girl who dreams of serving her country but takes a step back because of the feeling that you have to be good in sports or have good strength if you want to be in the Indian Army, it is not true. If you want to see yourself in the army, all you need is determination, discipline, and be honest with yourself.” 

As an Indian, we feel grateful to have such talent in our country.
