Captain Saurabh Kalia was a brave Indian Army officer who was martyred being detained as a Prisoner of War (POW) by the Pakistan Army during the Kargil War. He and five of his patrol’s soldiers were apprehended and allegedly tortured before being executed. Pakistan, on the other hand, denied torturing any members of the Indian army.
