Indian Army Colonel Manish Singh Chauhan and Major Neeraj lost their lives in a road accident on Bikaner-Jaipur road. The Indian Army officers of 19 SIKH LI (Light Infantry) sustained heavy head injuries that caused due to tire burst near Bikaner. Both the officers were taken to the PBM government hospital where doctors declared both the officers brought dead. Apart from Army Officers, two soldiers were also present who escaped the accident but received injuries.
About Road Accident on Bikaner Jaipur Road
The officials told that the incident took place during the early hours of 12th September 2020. The incident took place when Army Vehicle overturned due to a tire burst near Jodhesar village. The officials also told that the Army Officers were returning from a forward area reconnaissance.
About Colonel Manish Singh Chauhan
Colonel Manish Singh Chauhan (MS Chauhan) took over as the Commanding Officer (CO) of 19 SIKH LI in May, this year. Colonel MS Chauhan is survived by his wife Hima Chauhan and two daughters.
According to the Senior officers, Col MS Chauhan, was an outstanding officer with unflinching integrity, loyalty and devotion to duty. He was loved by his troops for his sensitivity to their professional and personal well-being.
Colonel Manish Chauhan was commissioned in 13 SIKH LI after passing out from National Defence Academy. With 13 SIKH LI, he served on the Line of Control and thereafter, in the United Nations’ mission at Congo.
About Major Neeraj Sharma
Major Neeraj Sharma also lost his life in this Bikaner-Jaipur road mishap. Former Army chief Gen VP Malik, who was also the honorary Col of the Sikh LI regiment, took to Twitter to express the “terrible loss”.

In Lakshay movie which was released in 2004, Col Manish Chauhan (then Gentleman Cadet) shared the stage with Hrithik Roshan. In the image below, you can seem him sitting aside of Hrithik Roshan.
