NDA 1 2018 Notification and Exam Date- Updated

Many young defense aspirants eagerly wait for the NDA 1 2018 Notification. Recently, the NDA 2 2017 Result was declared where more than 6500 candidates were shortlisted for the SSB. NDA 1 2018 exam will be conducted in the month of April where you need to undergo two phases of the written test. The NDA Exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), twice a year. For all the defense aspirants who are waiting to apply for the NDA 2018 Exam must read the complete details before the official notification is released by the UPSC.

About NDA 1 2018:

National Defence Academy aka NDA Exam is held twice every year to get young and energetic students who have just passed their schooling and are willing to serve the nation with glory. The NDA Exam is basically held by the UPSC authority of India. Once the Notification is released, interested candidates will be allowed to submit the online form.

Eligibility for NDA 1 2018:

The eligibility for NDA 2018 almost remains same every year. The only variation is in terms of Date of Birth, that changes every 6 months. Here is the brief about NDA 1 2018 Eligibility:

Educational Qualifications: The candidate must have passed the 12th standard before joining the National Defense Academy. To apply for the Navy and Air Force, the candidates must have Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as the compulsory subjects.

Age Limit: For the NDA Exam, the candidate must have the age between 16(1/2) and 19(1/2). The age will be calculated from the date of joining NDA. The candidate must be born after 2nd July 1999 and before 1st July 2002. Both dates are inclusive to apply for NDA 1 2018 Online Application.

How to Fill NDA 1 2018 Form:

The Online registration for NDA 1 2018 will start on 15th January 2018. You need to fill the Online Application in two Parts. Part-I will consist of your personal details submission. Personal Details will include your academic details and contact details. Along with that, you will be required to fill the preference of Job i.e. Indian Army, Indian Navy or Indian Air Force.

Once you are done with Part –I, you will be transferred to NDA Fees submission page. There you need to fill the nominal fees. Once you submit your fees, upload your Photo and Signature. The size of Photo and signature will be published in the notification.

After you have completed Part-II, you will get the overview of the final form. Look at the form and once you are satisfied with the submitted information, you need to SUBMIT the form. You will get a PDF copy of the form for future reference.

What is NDA 2018 Fees:

All the candidates are required to deposit a nominal fees of INR 100 for final NDA Exam confirmation. The payment mode is online as well as offline.

If you are using the online mode, you can use your Debit/Credit card or Net Banking to deposit the fees.

If you are using the offline mode of payment, you need to download the offline challan and submit the fees to your nearest SBI Bank. You will be provided with a journal number which you need to submit to complete the Part-II of online application.

  • Online Registration Starts from: 15th January 2018
  • Last Date of Online Registration: 5th February 2018
  • Admit Cards available for Download from: 1st/2nd Week of April 2018
  • Exam Date: 22nd April 2018
  • Result Declaration of NDA 1 2018: May 2018

What is NDA 2018 Exam Pattern

NDA exam is always conducted in offline mode. In the offline mode, the questions are presented in MCQ format. Here are the points to be remembered about NDA Exam Pattern:

  • The Exam will he held in two Phases: Part-I will have the test of Mathematics and Part-II will have General Ability Test.
  • The time duration for each of the written test will be 2 hours and 30 minutes.
  • The Mathematics and General Ability Test will be of 300 marks each,
  • In case of any wrong answer, one-third (0.33) marks will be deducted from your score as the answer penalty.
  • Its mandatory to clear Part-I and Part-II to get shortlisted for the SSB Interview.
