Selection Centre East (SCE) Allahabad is the selection centre for Indian Army Officers. It is situated in Uttar Pradesh and is active since 1957. The Selection Centre East Allahabad was inaugurated in the year 1957 with the motto to select the candidates on the basis of multiple personality tests that can help the interviewing official conclude with a pure and highly eligible candidate for the armed forces. Since 1957, the Allahabad SSB Centre is conducting Psychological Tests, Group Discussions, Ground Tasks, and Personal Interview to find the right candidate for recommendation.

Is Allahabad SSB a rejection center?
The Selection Centre East (SCE) Allahabad consists of 5 Service Selection Boards. Hence it’s obvious that there will be a huge strength to attend the SSB. Now due to maximum reporting, the Interviewing Officers can’t increase the selection rate. Instead, the selection at Allahabad SSB remains entirely on the basis of Officer Like Qualities. Hence due to a big ratio of candidates reporting for SSB to the number of recommended candidates, the Allahabad SSB is sometimes considered as a rejection centre.
But there is nothing like Rejection Centre as numerous candidates get recommended from Allahabad, are currently serving in the Indian Army.
Do I have to report at Allahabad Cantt or Allahabad City Railway Station for SSB?
All the candidates have to report at Allahabad Cantt Railway station MCO, on platform number 01. Once instructed the Army officials at MCO, Allahabad will enlist the presence of candidates and take you directly to the Selection Centre East, Allahabad.
However, in some case, if you reach the MCO late, you can arrange your own transport to reach the Service Selection Centre, Allahabad. At the entry gate of Army cantonment, you will be required to show your SSB Call-up letter for authenticity.
