AFCAT 1 2018 Notification Released for Commissioned Officer Posts [APPLY NOW]

Indian Air Force has released the AFCAT 1 2018 Notification for defence aspirants who are willing to join Indian Air Force as Commissioned Officers. The online registration for online application will start from 16 December to 14 January 2018. As advancement, AFCAT 2018 will be held Online. So, all the aspirants must know about the complete details of AFCAT 2018 Recruitment. Along with this, the online applications are invited for grant of PC/SSC for Flying Branch through NCC Special Entry Scheme and Meteorology Entry.

AFCAT 1 2018 Eligibility Criteria:

Age for Flying Branch: The age limit is 20 to 24 years as on 01 January 2019. All the aspirants born between 02 January 1995 and 01 January 1999 are eligible to apply for the Flying Branch vacancy. However, for candidates holding Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA, the age will be relaxed to 26 years (born between 02 January 1993 to 01 January 19990. In the age criteria, both the dates are included.

Age for Ground Duty Branches (Technical/Non-Technical): For the Ground duty branch, the age limit is 20-26 years. All the aspirants born between 02 January 1993 and 01 January 1999 are eligible to apply via AFCAT Online application form.

Important Dates of AFCAT 1 2018:

  • Online Application Starts on: 16th December 2017
  • Last Date of Online Application: 14 January 2018
  • AFCAT 1 2018 Admit Cards Date: 15 days before Written Exam
  • AFCAT 1 2018 Exam Date: 25 February 2018 (Last Sunday of February)
  • Training will commence from: January 2019

AFCAT 1 2018 Fee:

For the first time, the Online testing system conducted by AFCAT will have a fees structure to apply online. The AFCAT 1 2018 Fees has been fixed as Rs 250/-. This online application fee for AFCAT is only for those who are applying for AFCAT Entry only. For the applicants of Meteorology entry and NCC Special entry are not required to pay any amount during Online Application submission. AFCAT Online Examination Web Portal

The Indian Air Force online examination web portal was inaugurated by Rakhsa Rajya manti Shri Subhash Bhamre. This step has been taken as a step forward towards ‘Digital India’. The website has been developed by C-DAC (Centre for development of Advanced Computing) that encompass the motto of ‘Make in India’ and ‘Design in India’ initiated by the Government of India. The AFCAT Online Examination web portal includes all the essential information for the recruitment of Commissioned Officers as well as Airmen. From eligibility criteria to medical standards, you will find almost every information that needs to be known by the young Air Force aspirants.

AFCAT 1 2018 Exam Centre

There is a good news for the applicants of AFCAT 1 2018 that this time as the exam is going to be conducted on the Online platform, some new announcements have been made by the Air Force authority. Before the introduction of AFCAT Online Examination web portal, there were more than hundred exam centers where AFCAT Examination was conducted twice, every year. But with the introduction of new system, there would be a total of 760 AFCAT Exam Centres throughout the country.

Apart from this, all the candidates will be given the centers with considerably less distance as compared to the centers allotted in the old system. That means, in most of the cases, you will receive your AFCAT 2018 Exam Centre within your city or within the reach.
With this, the Air Force authority will have better control on the examination system and can easily conduct the exam, twice every year.
