AFCAT which is an Air Force Common Admission Test, according to the Indian air force the exam is scheduled in February. All the interested candidates had applied online for AFCAT which was from December 1 to December 30, 2019. Quantitative Aptitude:

Quantitative aptitude is the section where you can score more. You can easily score 33-36 marks if all your 11 or 12 questions will be correct. 

Reasoning Section:

When it comes to the reasoning section then prepare the non-verbal reasoning like the placement of the dots, Venn diagram, series completion, figure embedded and odd figure out are asked in the exam. It is very easy to score in this section and 27-30 questions are asked here.

For antonyms and synonymous that are asked in the exam should be prepared with the help of previous question papers as there is the possibility that they repeat. 

General Knowledge:

The last section which is GK, candidates sometimes goes deep in their learning. But here the main information is required so just go for the current affairs of 6 months. Arihant and Lucent are the books that you can have for the preparation of the GK section as they have the information in the concise form. 

Question-Solving Tips for AFCAT Exam

When you prepare for the AFCAT exam it is very important to have the techniques to answer 100 questions in 120 minutes. GK and English sections can take much time so the candidate must enhance the solving speed by regular practice. The candidate should prepare the questions with the time-bound practice of the sections. 

How to Clear AFCAT Cut Off?

Many of the candidates just miss the AFCAT exam by few marks. Candidate must have the awareness about the cut off list so that they can prepare accordingly. As said earlier that focus on the maximum marks scoring sections. Candidates attempting all the questions sometimes end up with scoring the less mark due to negative marking.

Focus on giving the answers correctly but not on attempting more questions. Go for the previous cut off list and prepare for 10 marks more than that which works in passing the AFCAT exam in the first attempt.

Preparing with lots of books doesn’t work in the way to clear the exam. But go for the previous papers and the mock papers for the preparation of the AFCAT exam. These papers help you out in understanding the pattern, syllabus time management and the types of questions.
