IAF Mi-17 Chopper Crashes in Budgam area of J&K, Six IAF Personnel Martyred [VIDEO]

Indian Air Force loses its Six Officers along with 1 Civilian in tragic Mi-17 Chopper crash. The Chopper was crashed in J&K’s Budgam area on 27th of February (Wednesday). According to the officials, the Mi-17 Chopper was broke in tow pieces and immediately caught fire.

Reason behind Mi-17 Chopper Crash:

According to the officials of Indian Air Force, it was reported that the Mi-17 Crash top place as a result of some technical fault. The technical failure in the engine caused the tragic chopper crash in the Garend Kalaan village in Budgam at around 1005 hours in the morning. Initially, the number of pilots in the chopper was not known, hence it was initially expected that two pilots were martyred. But by the evening it was made clear that a total of six pilots were in the chopper and all of them martyred after due to severe burn injuries.

Central Kashmir’s deputy inspector general (DIG) of police, V.K Birdi said that as of now, the bodies of pilots have been given to Indian Air Force and they are yet to identify the pilots. Talking about the reason for the Chopper crash, Birdi said that it’s worthless to give any premature comments. The investigation team is set up to find the actual cause of mishappening.

Pakistan Violates Cease-Fire:

Today (27th of February), Pakistani jets cross LoC and drops a few bombs. It is expected that about 3 jet fighter planes entered the Indian territory and dropped bombs. To counter attack the Pakistani jets, Indian pilots chased them via Mig-21.

Unfortunately, one of our Mig-21 was crashed, which was owned by Wing Commander Abhinandan. At the time of Mig-21 crash, Wing Commander managed to escape the plane but as it was the PoK area, Pakistan military took him under custody.

Names of Pilots & Civilian Who Lost their Live in Mi-17 Chopper Crash:

The investigation to determine the pilots who were on board are yet to be determined. But the civilian who was died in the Mi-17 Crash is identified as Hifayat Hussain Ganaie.

What Civilian (Eye Witness) Says about Mi-17 Chopper Crash:

The localities said that they heard a big band followed by the big fire coming out of the chopper. It was said that the pilot made every possible attempt to move the aircraft out of the Village area and fell into an open field.

The villagers’ immediately rushed to the site to save the pilot but suddenly the big blast took place in the chopper. As a result, all the pilots on board encountered fatal burn injuries. Many of the localities even managed to bring the dead bodies out of the plane till police reached the spot and took everything under control.
